Death Be Not Proud: A Memoir - John J. Gunther I'm not sure what to say about this book that won't sound horribly insensitive. But I honestly hated this book, I'm not say that no one would like (if so it would be 1 star) but I didn't.

The father/writer tried to make his son sound so adult and so mature. But at the same time they told him nothing of his condition. I'm sorry at age 17 you have every right to have a say in your medical care. And this dad made everything sound happy and cheerful (something had gone right as far as Johnny) and then would say something like "It wouldn't last though, he would die in 15 months." I don't need reminded every other page that he is going to die. So don't waste your time they're much better books about cancer.
