Hi I'm Caitlin a refuge from GR due to its censoring of reviewers. I'm still getting use to the site and hope to get back into the rhythm of writing reviews for all I'm reading.
Here is what stars mean to me:
1- Was horrible, no one should read it
2- Didn't click with me but someone else may enjoy or didn't live up to expectations
3- I enjoyed it, nothing special(most books)
4- Very good but the there was still enough flaws to prevent me from falling in love with it
5- I loved it, it made me think and feel strong emotions, very few flaws
This was my 2nd time reading this book and I enjoyed it as much this time as I did the first time. Which says something for the book.
To me this is a touching story of a family dealing with the death of their youngest daughter and what it takes to come through on the other side, whether through painting or sitting on the roof. It is not a true tale but so easily could be.
